Saturday October 4th 2014 GREAT AMERICAN BEER FEST
For the 4th consecutive year we broadcasted inside the halls of the convention center for Great American Beer Festival. Todd Thibault and Stacy Turk sat in the whole show as we relayed Colorado winners as they were announced. In all, 40 medals were taken by the home state. We also had some cool guests on including Great Divide‘s Tannea Musselman, Draft Magazine‘s Evan Hughes, Dry Dock‘s Jeremiah Kornegay and the BA‘s Julia Herz. Congrats to all the winners at this year’s GABF.

Saturday October 11th 2014 Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar’s Refreshment for a Cause
David Parry of Parry’s Pizzeria & Bar co hosted as we raised money for the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Several breweries donated beer for this event with all the proceeds going directly to St. Jude’s. We had some very cool guests stop in as well including Grist Brewing‘s Rob Kevwitch, Renegade Brewing‘s Keith Decker and Ashley Sain from St. Jude’s. We also talked a bit about the potential ballot initiative on full strength beers in grocery and c stores.

Saturday October 18th 2014 with Platt Park Brewing and Coda Brewing
Nicol Winkler and Turk were in studio this week with some very special guests who just won GABF medals. In Hour One we sat down with GM and Owner Colby Rankin and Head Brewer Greg Matthews of Platt Park Brewing Company. They grabbed a silver at GABF with their Gump’s Vienna Lager. They are brewing up some amazing beers on South Pearl Street. We also hit up Tebo from Breckenridge Brewery as they transition from Autumn Ale to the Christmas Ale. In Hour Two we jumped in with Head Brewer and Co Owner at Coda Brewing Company Luke Smith. Coda grabbed silver with their Sleepyhead Imperial Passionfruit Kolsh. He has an amazing background and story and is also brewing some phenomenal beers in Aurora. We also did a healthy Brew News You Can Use Segment.
