Colorado Craft Beer Show Brewcast 9-22-2012 Oskar Blues’ Tasty Weasel AHA Rally

We broadcasted live from the American Homebrewer’s Association Rally at the Tasty Weasel Taproom at Oskar Blues Brewery! Big thanks to taproom manager Garret Frase for filling in for The Gubna this week!

In Hour One we opened up with some brew news you can use! We then were joined by the American Homebrewer’s Association Director Gary Glass. We talked about what the AHA does and about membership privileges. Next up was our man Todd Thibault from Breckenridge Brewery who jumped on to talk about all things Breck! He of course was headed to a beer festival, this time the Fall Harvest Beer Festival in Fort Collins. We closed out the hour with Leslie and Steve Kaczeus from Niwot’s Boot Strap Brewing. They are currently running 8 taps of some fine Colorado craft brew!

In Hour Two we led off with a call in from the Gubna who was in Florida hanging with the stars! Pat Hartman from Mobile Canning. They were on site canning some home brew and now have canned beers for 9 different breweries. Oskar Blues head brewer Dave Chichura joined us to talk about OB and some of his new brews including Dave’s Pale Ale and The Deuce. Always a pleasure to talk to this man! Tim Myers from Strange Brewing also jumped on to talk about his GABF plans and about the big Pumpkin beer they are brewing. We also talked with the Oskar Blues brew with Dave Chichura for a day winner Tyler Wetzl.
