Our friends from Boulevard Brewing will be here and we’ll be pouring their iconic Pale Ale as well as Double Wide Double IPA from their Smokestack series as well as tapping more great beers from their Smokestack series including:

Night of The Big Brown Rye

Join us after the last pour at GABF on Thursday 10/11/12 to taste The Big Brown Rye - a collaborative project from Ska, Freshcraft & Peach Street Distillers. There will be great beer & barrel aged cocktails flowing plus the crews from both Ska & Peach Street will be on hand so you know it’s going to be a party!

The namesake beer is a high gravity brown ale with plenty of rye malt that brewed by the crew at Ska & Freshcraft earlier this year. The beer was then aged for three m
onths in casks that previously held gold medal winning Colorado Bourbon from Distillery of the Year Peach Street Distillers.

Once the beer was transferred from the barrels we filled them up with a Manhattan made with Colorado Bourbon which will also be available.

We’ll also have the following Ska Beers on draft:
* Euphoreigner firkin (Euphoria dry hopped with Simcoe & El Dorado hops)
* Nitro Mole Stout
* Steel Toe Stout (Gold Medal 2011 GABF & 2012 WBC)

Just for fun we put some Jack & Jenny pear gin from Peach Street in yet another barrel so we’ll be whipping up some killer cocktails with that. Mile High Mules with Goat Vodka will be flowing too!

For the whole week, Upslope will have daily raffles, drink specials, games, and special beer tappings celebrating GABF (keep up with them all on their Facebook page). One special beer is a collaboration with the staff at Euclid Hall. The result is our Thai I.P.A., a wheat beer meets India Pale Ale brewed with an array of Thai spices. Brewed with an abundance of wheat and using a Belgian yeast strain, they created a hybrid style blending two different but complimenting favors. Euclid Hall will be having a special tapping of this collaboration beer along with five other single batch Upslope beers at 6pm on Wednesday, October 10th.

On Monday October 8th at 6:30 pm they are hosting a California Beer Dinner! 45 dollars per person and seats can be reserved by calling 303-444-3535 thats 303-444-3535. They will be featuring Brewmaster at Moylans Denise Jones, Brewmaster at Marin Brewing Arne Johnson, Firestone Walker’s Elizabeth Kagan and Stone Brewing’s Chris Cantrell. Start off with a Firestone Walker DBA and then the first course comes with Brisket Wrapped Ahi and Hop Smoked Oysters paired with a Marin Star Brew Triple Wheat Wine and a Stone 16th anniversary ale. For 2nd course enjoy a Red Pepper Goat Cheese Stuffed Duck Breast with a Firestone Walker Wookey Jack Black Rye IPA and a Moylan’s Hop Craic Quadruple X IPA. For the 3rd course Chai Teal Leaf & Pepper Rubbed NY Strip with Marin’s San Quentin Breakfast Stout and the Stone/Firestone Walker collaboration El Camino (Un)real Black Ale. For dessert: a Bourbon Apple Crisp with Moylan’s Kiltlifter. Man does this sound like a great dinner! Again 45 bucks at the West End Tavern on Monday October 8th.

On Saturday October 6th we will be live at Strange from Noon to 2! They will tap their 2nd Anniversary Munich Dunkel (first tapped in May when we last broadcasted at Strange) Special beer and food pairing with Chris from Worldwide Vittles.  And we will be giving away tickets to GABF! The Hopped Up Dames will also be celebrating their 2nd anniversary. Since 2010 they have been bringing women together and having a great time and learning about great beer. They are inviting all ladies to join them at Strange starting at 1:00pm. They’re also bringing back the Cherry Bomb Stout ( which is back on tap after a long hiatus due to Cherry shortage)

On Sun, Oct 7th - Two Wet-Hopped Brews including the Get Fresh Pale Ale brewed with Fresh Simcoe and Cascade Hops. And the Fresh-Hopped IPAphany brewed with Fresh Colorado Cascade and Nugget Hops.

On Mon, Oct 8th -they tap the Pumpkin Porter - Tim is picking up 300 POUNDS of organic pie pumpkins this afternoon and they will be roasted tomorrow morning in Hops & Pie’s pizza ovens. Don’t miss this rare seasonal favorite!!

On Tue, Oct 9th - One-Barrel Wednesday - The Sequel - Did you miss some of Tim and Harry’s one-barrel creations? Stop by Tuesday the 9th when they bring out a few stashed kegs of OBWs from earlier this year
